Where can i have a better life for my kids

I live in an expensive inner city area. My oldest son has just completed year 7 and got a 29% average score. We never chose this school. Where i live is expensive but not pretty or anywhere nice to hang out unless you have money.
My son likes school but i feel its shit for him.
Feel like getting in car and starting again. North west area. Help.

I always think The Lakes School in Troutbeck seems the 'dream' high school. All that beautiful countryside, and loads of part time jobs! The pupils all look happy enough but that's my only interaction with the school.
Mind you, where better to re-invent yourself in the North-West of England than the Lakes. Is your career totally flexible? Does your DS enjoy active pursuits?
