Your tips for taking a (just) 2 year old on hol abroad

We're off on holiday with DD, 23 months (will turn 2 during the hol!) in September. I'd love your best tips both for the journeys and the holiday itself. European country, just over a week, villa accommodation, self catered. We will be hiring a car. She has her own seat on the plane, first ever air travel.

We bought a car seat for £40 and have used that no for 3 trips rather than hire one each time can send you the brand if you want. Take favourite snack / dried food in the case (ours is a fussy eater).

Take travel black out blinds or foil to keep room dark for night time. I took her cot sheet that she had slept on for a day or two so her bed smelt same. Probs sounded like over kill but she sleeps lovely on holiday and will even lie in later.

Tablet for the plane, small toys, colour with water from Amazon, snacks etc. Bug spray for kids. We went to Majorca when she was 2 years 4 months and so many mosquitos compared to previous year's.

Hope you have a fab time x
