The old favourite - kids waking at night

Hi all

My 20mth dd has started waking every night having slept thru til about 3 weeks ago. I have tried everything I can think of, even ignoring her, but she can cry for hours sometimes. I don't want to get her into bed with me. Have any of you got some gems of wisdom you can pass on?

p.s. I've forgiven her for waking during an earthquake last night - did anyone else feel the earth move

My dd (3.5yrs) used to sleep through no problem but she now wakes in the early hours saying she needs to be tucked in. How on earth do I get her to sleep through? She's not upset or frightened. She just wakes and decides to wake us up. Any ideas out there?

My ds2 now 3 spends most nights in our bed now. he goes off to sleep in his own bed really well, but when he wakes - just won't stay there. Sadly have decided at the moment that some sleep for all is better than none, so will try and deal with it when the nights aren't as cold.
BUT - last night - was woken by NOT 3 yr old but 12 year old dd1 " somethings been shaking my bed mu"
me " no don't be silly, must be a dream, just go back to sleep" {hmm}

The thing is once we've put her back into bed and tucked her in she goes back to sleep until 7ish. What can we do to stop her momentarily waking in the night?

Is there really that little advice out there? Or has this been done before???
