Has anyone ever got a text message like this from their GP? I am so scared

Dear parent/guardian of ___,

Please expect a call from the doctor on 01/08/23 between 8am - 2pm to discuss a letter received from Hospital. If this date/time is inconvenient for you, please call the surgery on 0208 ___ to reschedule your appointment.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have yes. It was to organise a blood test the hospital had asked for.

Is the child under a hospital consultant?, have you visited hospital with them recently?
Any genetic issues in the family they may want to test for?

Yes worried me senseless for two whole days and turned out my child was a little anemic and could I pick up a prescription for iron tablets !
Absolutely no reason for the doctor to ring me the receptionist could have called when the text was sent instead in my opinion.

Thank you I called the receptionist and they said it could be because we visited a&e back in March (he had an hour nose bleed). I hope it’s nothing serious.
