... please?

I only have a toddler son so am a bit clueless. She's very girlie, likes horses, um and pink (I think although maybe she has outgrown that). What are 9 year old girls in to?

Looking to spend approx £15.

Thanks!

Staionery/diary/craft items/a funky hair brush and hand mirror/shoulder bags and/or purse/stripy tights.

My 9 year old is getting into clothes. She likes stuff like her own mug. My MIL bought her a mug, some tea bags and three packets of biscuits and she loved it.

We bought my DB StepDD Lego Clickits for Xmas, she loved them.

My dd is 9. Got her one of these at Christmas and she loves it to bits. I thought she might have trouble understanding it but not at all.

PestoMonster · 27/02/2008 11:45

Maybe you could get her something from
Sugar Cubes

My daughter is really into ponies too and I got their catalogue and she picked out some bits that she liked.

My dd is 9 and beyond pink now. However i was surprised at Christmas at just how much joy she got from a kit that enabled her to make her own handbag. All the elements were there, it just involved simply sewing up the sides, adding the strap, and decorating it with some sewn on buttons, also supplied.

can't remember the brand, but M&S I think have something similar.

Otherwiswe what about a Dorling kindersley/usborne book about animals, maybe horses even ?

Sorry it's taken me ages to get back to the thread - thanks for all your suggestions. I went with the crafty idea and bought her a Kit called Knit-It Monkey - and it's v simple but makes a very funky cute monkey. I hope she'll like it. I have stored the other ideas in my favourites for Christmas, so thank you!
