We qualify for the tax free childcare

I've set up an account and just received 2nd invoice

Does anyone know if I pay the whole amount into the childcare account or minus what the government top up?

Sorry for silly question but the first invoice we paid as has no idea until afterwards

It's quite a lot of money so just need to check first as find it quite confusing!

Thanks in advance

Pay in the amount minus the top up. The top up goes on immediately so you'll be able to see the total straight away.

But remember the top up is limited to £500 every 3 months. We go over this so on month 3 we have to pay in more.

Use the childcare tax free calculator online. Put in your invoice amount and it tells you how the government will contribute and how much you need to pay. You just put your amount in the account.

Times your invoice by 0.8 and then add that amount to your portal, the government top up the 0.2! Like a previous user said upto £500 over 3 months!
