Baby wakes earlier and earlier

I have a one year old baby girl. She stopped night feeding (breast feed) at 7 weeks. At 8 months, she began waking earlier at 5:45am (from 6:30am). Now, at 13 months, she wakes at 5:15am for the day and won’t go back to sleep. She has two naps in the day, the first at 9am for 30 mins and the second at 12:15pm for 2 hours and bedtime is at 7:15-7:30pm. I’ve tried pushing bedtime later and it makes no difference. Does anyone know how to increase a baby’s night sleep? We have blackout curtains already. I’m struggling to handle this, especially as I am back at work and me going to bed earlier doesn’t make the earlier wake any easier to handle.

My youngest had quite a long stretch of very early waking and it’s tough but we did get out of it, although I can’t exactly remember how. But looking at the pattern of your day I would probably try tinkering with naps. The morning nap is catch up on what should’ve been nighttime sleep. And at 13 months many are ready for a single nap. So if you consolidate more towards the middle of the day you might find you get a better night out of it. The transition won’t be fun, but might pay dividends. I’d try and keep them awake until about 11, give them a snack just before the nap and lunch when they wake up. See how that goes and gradually aim to push the single nap back till about 12:30 or 1. My youngest would also revert back to stretches of early waking every time they were teething, and these could be up to 3 or 4 weeks each. But once a better patter had established itself, those were always blips and they would revert back to a longer night.

Sounds like mine at that age. Every morning we would be up around 5am. now she has changed to 6am-6.30am which is better than 5am but still too early for me. I think it light just be how babies are until they grown out of it.
