Two year old eats EVERYTHING they shouldn't!

My 2 year old literally eats everything and anything that isn't food. Paint, hand gel, sand, soap, ice, felt tip pens, grass... and more recently, her poo! Obviously we stop her but any advice on how we can stop this in the first place?

She's never had a sickness bug and is very rarely unwell so it's done well for her immunity 🙈

Take her to the GP and ask for a referral this seems outside the scope of normal toddler behaviour to me.

Thankyou both for responding.

The Health Visitor said to monitor it over the next few months but obviously its still continuing. I'll get her in at Dr's.

Can I ask what will happen with a referral? Where will she be referred to etc? 😊

I'm thinking pica too. Some things that could be food? That's typical. Poo? Very much not typical.

In the meantime, everything needs to be inaccessible and you need to monitor closely all the time. Duct tape on the nappies!

I would also be going to the GP about this, it seems outside the realms of 'normal' behaviour and sounds like pica to me. I'd push for some support ASAP.
