Just for anyone else who needs this today

My 5m old hasn't stopped whining. All. Fucking. Day.
Constantly. She's normally the happiest baby but my god she's something else the last few days. If she's not sleeping or feeding, she's bloody whining

The three year old - turned 3 a couple of weeks ago and apparently his ears fell off when he did.
Again today, not listening to a word I say, just being generally defiant and annoying. And repeating everything he says. About 5 times.

Annoying. Little. Fuckers.

I love them. Very much. But today I would like to put them in the bin

No point to this post, just in case yours are being little so and sos too today you're not alone

Feel free to complain below!

My not quite 3 year old has been exceptionally difficult today. I think we will be out and about as much as possible as somehow it’s easier because oh boy it’s been hard going.
I have had I’m tired and hungry all day even when food has been in front of her!

minipie · 24/07/2023 16:13

DC age 10 and 8. Keep fighting, but refuse to be separated or go out anywhere because they “have plans”. Peace resumes for 10 minutes if I intervene, then there’s another fight. 🤦‍♀️

MaxwellCat · 24/07/2023 16:16

4 kids that keep fighting sick of people telling me im lucky as they can play together all they've done since they've broken up is fight, constant arguing, bickering, teasing, separate them then they get annoyed with me. Its been relentless. Maybe if you are lucky to have kids that get on 🤷‍♀️

Sending coffee and wine to those that need it!

Went out with them both today and even that didn't help. Baby whined the whole time and toddler refused to walk so spent most of the time telling him to get up off the floor of the shopping centre

Can't wait for their dad to get home so I can go to bed 😂

My 17m old is also driving me mad. She was absolutely fine while we were out for a walk at a nature reserve earlier, had a nap after. Since she woke up she has just whinged non stop for my attention- however when she has it she doesn't seem to actually want anything! She has also spent the afternoon constantly removing the clean washing from the radiators!

Olive2022 · 24/07/2023 16:40

Day 1 of the summer holidays and I’m done🤣

5 year old is on one.
16 month old who is usually the most chilled boy has not stopped crying, whining or throwing a tantrum today.

I can’t take 6 more weeks of this😂

REBM · 24/07/2023 16:42

Took all four of mine for a day out today.... don't know why I bothered! Older two just did nothing but fight, two babies just winged and wanted to be out! I'll be glad when it's bed time..... 43 days to go to new school year

febbabies2023 · 24/07/2023 16:45

I'm really glad that our nursery is open all year round and the 3 year old goes three days a week (roll on Wednesday!)

Why do they suddenly turn into these little gremlins during the holidays or at home?

At school / nursery they're always 'delightful!'

I realised last night that this will be the most time I’ve spent with my 5 year old since he was 2🤣 we had him in nursery 2 days a week throughout the year.

ShadowPuppets · 24/07/2023 17:27

Oh god this was me yesterday, sympathies. 14m and 2y 11m. We had plans for a nice walk and soft play and the nearly 3yo tantrumed constantly and the baby just winged non-stop.

Anyway the little one came down with a horrid bug this morning so I decided to sack off all our plans and we’ve spent all day cuddled up watching Disney, the most vigorous thing we did was a quick walk to the shop but the rest has been naps, cuddles, etc. I feel a bit guilty for being so annoyed at the baby winging yesterday, he was obviously brewing something, and it won’t kill the nearly 3yo to have a day watching TV. Certainly not if you consist yesterday I was stressed mummy and today we’ve spent a lot of time curled up together.

Anyway, this is just to say, I was there yesterday, I feel fairly zen today (notwithstanding fears about a bad night with poorly baby and how tf I’m going to work tomorrow as he can’t go to nursery!). Get them down tonight and tomorrow is another day :)

And worst comes to worst you can always stick them on eBay 😂

Ohhhh the joys of parenthood 🤣🤣

It's refreshing to see a genuine post for once so thanks!

It's bin day today wonder if I can squeeze my 2½ year old in 🤣

febbabies2023 · 24/07/2023 19:11

@ShadowPuppets I think the baby is teething and she has got a cough so I would imagine that's why she's a little grumpy so I shouldn't be too annoyed. Toddler also has the cough cold but he's fine in himself!
Wish they'd watch Disney with me! I get stuck watching gecko garage or tractors all bloody day 🫣
I'd get more for them on Etsy I reckon hahah

@Jadeypie bin day here too, I have told toddler several times today I'll put him in the bin! However he would happily oblige to this one so it backfired!
Oh yes I'm all about normal posts, parenthood is not always flowers and rainbows and it's absolutely okay if we call our kids assholes sometimes (under our breaths obviously ;)

well you did make them yourself so go for it 😂

Shouldhavebutdidnt · 24/07/2023 20:00

4.5 year old here, today has been fine (swimming & library) but OMG last week I could have easily abandoned him in a bin!!

Am counting down the days until he starts school but also really emotional and tearing about not having my 2/3 days mid week with him. Depending on the moment I’m either excited about school or gutted!!

Noicant · 24/07/2023 20:13

3yr old was like a hitting ninja today, I seriously wondered if she was the anti-christ at several points. Not like her but it really really pissed me off. I took to my bed when Dh came home and only emerged to help with bath time.

febbabies2023 · 24/07/2023 21:47

We need a collective large bin where we can put our children when they're being awful and then pick them up again when they've sorted their shit out

I guess that's also known as nursery or school...

My older 2 (4 and 6) have done nothing but fight today. My 1 year old has done nothing but cry. She is clingy at the best of times but currently has a cold and MY GOD the whinging.

cornflower21 · 24/07/2023 22:24

Hand hold op, it will get better I promise.
Actually there's gonna be a time when you gonna be thinking about those old times.
