Toddler will no longer stay in bed

My DD is 3. She's always slept in her own crib & bed. We've never co-slept. Recently she's started refusing to stay in her bed to sleep and insists on being in my bed. If I try to put her back into bed she cries and screams for ages and I can't get her to stop unless I take her out of her room.

Anyone had any experience with this? Any tips would be great.

Can she verbalise what the problem is ? Is it a noise or a shadow ?

Yeah, she just tells me she wants to sleep in my bed. I ask her why but there doesn't seem to be any other reason.

My 3yo went through a couple of months of sleeping in our bed. (Same, never co slept etc.) We always put him to sleep in his bed, we’d carry him back overnight, sometimes he’d come back again and sometimes he’d stay put. It generally petered out and now we never see him in our bed. It’s probably been at least 4 months with no visits. Does your DD just crawl in and go straight to sleep? Is she awake when you carry her back or is she asleep? Any other changes at home?

Once I put her in our bed she goes straight to sleep again. She's definitely awake as she'll usually be standing by her door calling me to carry her into my bed. The only biggish change would be that we recently got rid of her dummy.
