Children's Party RSVPs

Currently organising my 2nd ever kids party for my nearly 5 year old (first one was for his 4th birthday last year). So many of the parents have just not bothered to rsvp at all. Is this normal with kids parties? I found the same thing happened last year and I don't have the phone numbers of the mums to chase so will just assume they can't make it. I find it so rude and I will always rsvp to say that I can't make it as I just think it's polite but maybe people get so many this is just the way it's done? I find it very annoying.

It's really annoying. I try to invite children whose parents I know and have a number for. I also give a deadline date on the invite, so I can invite others to fill spaces, especially if you pay per head.

So annoying, I always RSVP if I can go or not. I would know most of the parents I'm inviting and am in group chats so can send a reminder closer to the time. if you don't hear by a week before assume they aren't going

They will RSVP if they want to- either yes or no.

Some do not have the manners at all to RSVP a no. Those parents that did this with my DC parties will not get an invite next year.

You might also get parents saying yes and then not bothering to show up. I had a few that did that and no apology beforehand or after. I let them know how i felt by ignoring them and wanting to punch them.

If you did have an RSVP date, i wouldn't bother chasing.

Hope your DC has a wonderful celebration!

This is totally normal, in my experience and very frustrating and stressful.
