Hi all. My 3 week old DD seems to be having tummy troubles. Currently on aldi mamia formula. She poops every couole days and it is soft when she passes it, but seems to reallt struggle to pass it and is having pains the day before/the run up to having the poop. Will nap for 5 minutes then wake up screaming. Would changing milk help this issue or do i just need to give it a bit more time? Thanks

I’d be tempted to try some Infacol or similar first, to see if it’s wind. Have you spoken to the HV or GP ?

Sounds like she might be intolerant to dairy. Go to GP asap. Mine was like this and was in severe pain with it. He's on soya formula now and much better but some can't even have soya so defo see GP. The difference is amazing. Hope she gets better soon

Hi whats a good alternative to infacol? I used it with DS and didnt think it really helped. HV has said aslong as the poop is soft not to worry. And that all the formulas are basically the same. X

With infacol you need to keep using it as it takes a little while to kick in IMO.
And not all milks are the same as some are dairy free !

@DustyLee123 yes sorry i meant all the main regular one eg aptamil, cow and gate, mamia etc. Will look into infacol alternatives and see if maybe something better or more effective. I used it for months with DS for colic and wind and didnt seem to help. X

@Tiredjoanna i dont think it is intolerance to dairy or cmpa as the poop is normal when passed. Not hard or diarrhea. It seems to be more the act of it all moving through her body. X

That's what mine had troubles with too but infacol worked for mine. It could just be that her little insides need to develop more is all. Hope you work it out 😊
