DS (14mo) can’t stop itching his willy!

My poor ds can’t stop itching his willy, every time the nappy is off. He literally grabs it, pulls it, jabs it. Pulls it HARD, rubs, scratches, slaps it. The second his nappy is off he goes for it. He makes it look so sore. We put Sudocrem on it but not at every change as try to let it breathe too. But tonight he didn’t want to sit in the bath as the warm water clearly made it sting.
He has a little eczema so we don’t use bubble bath anyway and only Aveeno baby bath wash. Clothes always washed in Fairy non-bio.
Anyone else have this? I know little boys are obsessed with willies but this doesn’t seem fun! Advice welcome

Does he have eczema on it? Or anything else that could be making it itch?

We've just had this with my son! My friend is a nurse and I told her. She said it sounded fungal and to try Canesten and it worked. Another suggestion was balanitis but DS was scratching close to the scrotum rather than the head of the penis.

I didn’t think it was eczema but it’s really hard to know. He makes it so red when he scratches it but it looks normal when he doesn’t.
Will look into canestan, good thinking! Thanks
