Periods

My 12 year old daughter started her period in January, not really heavy, they only lasted a couple of days at the most, she had 3 periods and nothing since March. Is this normal? I know they can be irregular for the first few years but it feels strange they've stopped completely. She seems to be really emotional and sensitive, so every month I think she'll stay again but nothing 🤷‍♀️ her twin sister started the same week as her in January and has been regular every month since

It does seem unusual, is she underweight at all?

Also, are you sure she isn't getting her period and just not telling you? She could be putting pads in the bin the same time as her sister so it's not easy to tell?

I don't think she's underweight, she is a slim build and a little more petite then her sister but I've put this down to her being a picky eater so she'll often not eat as much of her dinner on an evening but makes up for it with other foods, like fruit and veg etc. I don't think she could had one without me knowing because she has ASD so I often have to help her in a morning to get ready for school, so I think I would notice if she's had a period and she's mentioned quite a bit that she's not had one since March.
She has had some struggles at school with bullying and friendships so I guess stress could also play a factor? She's just coming to the end of the schook year so I think I'll maybe give it a couple of weeks to see if she starts her period once all the stress is out of the way, if not I'll give the gp a ring.
