My daughter has a purchased a mamas and papas occoro pram set with the car seat Cybex Cloud I'm wondering would it be a better idea for us to purchase just the same base for our car (grandparents) and just use there carry chair for the few months we it will be using it and the handful of times we will have the baby travelling in our car ? Then obviously as it gets older buy our own permanent car seat or any other suggestions would be helpful ? thankyou

How often will you having the baby? Unless the baby is very small they will out grow the first car seat you take in and out within a year.

Most infant seats can be strapped in the car using the seatbelt, you don't have to have the isofix base. In fact, the infant seat is the easiest to transfer between cars.

It looks like this seat can be fitted with a seat belt so no need to buy a base. If fitted correctly, the belt is just as safe as an isofix base, it's just a bit more fiddly, the base means it's just click and go. If you are not using it that regularly, seat belt fitting will be fine.

We've got a Cybex Cloud. We belt it into the grandparents cars for short journeys and transfer the base if he's going in their car more. The base is quite easy to transfer once you've done it a few times.

We're going to look into a seat for their car once he sizes out of this one as the next level up are harder to move around, and they'll be driving him more once I'm back at work.

He's 7 months now and he's only been in grandparents cars a handful of times.
