My daughter is turning 1 and I want to make her a special party for family and friends...I'm looking for cute ideas

(It will be august and we live somewhere warm so guaranteed sun)

So far...

  • 11-2pm
  • bouncy castle (mostly for the older kids)
  • graze table
-paddling pool
  • amazing cake
  • bunting
  • high hair decorations
  • homemade balloon arch

Any other ideas big or small so make it a special day?

I made/ sourced a load of things that I could keep for my dd growing up.
I printed pictures of her from 0-11 months, I got a scrap book and asked everyone at the party to write a little note in it. I then printed a picture of our little family to go next to it. My plan is to put it out every birthday so she has up to 18 years or birthday messages.

When I turned 30 my mum bought me a lovely notepad with to my daughter inscribed on it. I was keeping it for something special but the night before her birthday I felt a bit emotional and wrote a letter to my dd. I wrote down everything I’ve learned the last year and how proud I was of her and all her little milestones. I sort of wrote down my hopes for her growing up. I think this is something I’ll do yearly, haven’t decided if I will give it to her or keep it as a journal but I found the whole thing a tad more emotional than I thought.
