Bedwetting on holiday

DS is 7. Only been out of night nappies for about 5 months. Only took them off because we ran out one night but he's mostly OK now. We are down to about once a fortnight that he wets the bed now

At home all fine, we just stick everything in the wash ASAP but what do we do on holiday? Last holiday was 3 nights in a Air BnB. He had only been out of nappies a few weeks at that point so we just put him back in them for those few nights. Been much longer now and I think he would hate going back.

We can pack a waterproof sheet and rinse it out in the shower if needs be I suppose but when he does have an accident it seems to go upwards into the duvet too.

We have a week in a hotel in August. Would you just go back to nappies? Any miracle solutions?!

I'd take a waterproof bottom sheet, some disposable dry nites mats. If you're going abroad I'd take a couple of sheets to use as a cover instead of the hotel's duvet and some hand wash laundry cleaner, you could wash them in the bath and hang on the balcony to dry.

I got some surprisingly good knee length cotton shorts for my son from Amazon which have a waterproof plastic inner layer, to use as pyjama bottoms. They are cotton on the inside and outer layer, so they look and feel like normal shorts. (They are out of stock but I've linked very similar trousers to show you what I mean)

I also got some thick cotton padded training pants as a back-up for when he falls asleep on the aeroplane, (which can be worn underneath the shorts).

I use these but buy two so you can wash/use:

Comfortnights Children's Dry Night Mat: 90 x 90 cms,35½” x 35½", wings additional 50cms each side. amzn.eu/d/5w1Xd8B

I buy the disposable incontinence bed pads/sheets for my DS. On offer in Boots at the mo. And sometimes the inco sheets in the women's inco pads section are cheaper than the baby ones.

Disposable bed mats are what we used, we took our own single bedsheet to use as well and kept the b&b's as a spare

These look good. And reusable. Pinching this recommendation thank you!

These look fab, thank you. And thanks to all other suggestions.

@DappledThings no worries 😊The shorts have really improved his confidence and led to more dry nights overall, which is an added benefit!
