17 month suddenly waking at night for bottle?

Hey everyone!
My DS hasn't had a bottle during the night for a long time, has gone through the night without a bottle since weaning him but for the last week he's been waking around 2/3am for a bottle.
Should I carry on giving it to him on demand or should I not be encouraging it? I don't want it to become a bad habit!
Any advice would be lovely Smile

Are you sure he’s not just thirsty, my children are grown now, but I personally wouldn’t have offered milk at this stage I would offer water.

Could he have teeth coming through and be using it for comfort?

I would offer water but up day time calories and offer supper of some kind before bed (even if just a banana or something).

Thanks for your replies! Yeah I offer water first which he does drink but still wants a bottle and he drains an 8oz one!
Not sure where it's come from! My only guess is maybe a growth spurt but the one night I didn't give him a bottle he was up for 4 hours not being able to settle! So strange! Hoping it's just a phase Hmm

Try a pre bed snack? Might be just hungry

I'd try upping his calories during the day and/or offering a dream feed before you go to bed. I'd really try and avoid re-introducing a middle of the night feed at this age.
