Toddler and a visit to the dentist

Hi all, my lively 2yo fell and has chipped his tooth this evening so I'll be on the phone to dentist in the morning as he looks like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber with the way it's gone and bloody chipped 🤦🏼‍♀️ I've looked it up online and it says they may have to file it to smooth it off...
just wondering, how the hell do they manage to do this with a 2yo who will NOT lie still!? 😩 it's stressing me out just thinking about it

They might just give you some filing paper and wish you luck. This was my experience five years ago. I didn't attempt it and we all survived. But perhaps my DD didn't have a very sharp chipped tooth. (Although it felt sharp enough and hastened the end of breastfeeding!)

Took him. He played up as I thought and wouldn't let them have a decent look of course I knew this with his age. They just said they're going to just leave it, didn't attempt to file it down.
Just said it may or may not start to change colour over time 😫 but I should just wait for it to just drop out now when he's older .
