I think, if she reported to the police that she had been assaulted by her two eldest sons, they would refer to Social services and get her some help.

How would she feel about them being taken into care temporarily?

It sounds like they are copying the abusive bullying ways of the father, and she hasn't left a moment too soon, for her sake, and for the sake of the younger children. Under no circumstances should she do what her sons want. Never ever give in to bullies, no matter what age..

Police will refer to social work and the Children's Reporter.

This will mean that she will get help and support for her situation.

She can also call social work herself.

I hope she gets the help and support she needs.
