8 month sounds like grinding her teeth

Hi so my 8month old DD has to bottom and teeth and what looks like her two top teeth trying to come through for over a week now but today she has started making a strange noise with her mouth which sounds like teeth grinding. Is this possible with only two teeth or could it be something else that I should get checked. It doesn’t seem to be bothering her at all when she does it but it does sound very strange. Sorry FTM here so completely clueless. TIA

My DS started doing this as his top two came down. I think it was just novelty or to help with the pain and he stopped after a week or so 🙂

My DD used to do this whenever she got a new tooth, lasted a couple of days. I can’t stand the noise of teeth grinding so I’m glad it didn’t last long!

Mine did it and infact still does at 2🙃it's makes my skin crawl

Ds did that at about 1 when he had 2 top and 2 bottom teeth 😬 it made my skin crawl so he did it even more because he liked the reaction! Sounds like its pretty common

Thank you so much for your replies and so good to hear it is pretty common and nothing to worry about it. These little ones do keep us on our toes 😊.
Hopefully it doesn’t last too long cause yes that sound definitely does give you the heebiegeebies.
