So my 12 month old has come down with a cold and his nose is really blocked it's waking him up during the night it's hard for him to breath out of and just sounds really snotty while I was pregnant with him his nanny bought me this I've used it ages ago for essential oil's eucalyptus when I had a cold I was just wondering would this help my baby and is it classed as a humidifier if I just put water in it or is it only for essential oils only would it harm my boy I wouldn't put any oils in it as I've read the chemicals in them or something aren't okay for the baby's airways I'd only put water would it help literally will do anything to help him thanks in advance xox

I didnt know this was a thing and I didn't have it in the house ill have to buy some tomorrow I've put Vicks baby rub on his chest but that doesn't seem to do the trick it's the next best thing I had

Not sure about the vapour thing sorry, but I would really recommend Sterimar spray and a snot sucker to help clear his nose before bed. Also put some books under the legs at the head of his bed, so his head is slightly elevated overnight

I don't know if that device will create much extra humidity, but in general humidity should help and it certainly wont harm him.
