9 month old constipated can she have apple juice

I've already given her some actually but then worried myself. She only had a couple of sips and is now just playing with the breaker, I've diluted it now as didn't realise I had too!

She has been having really hard balls of poo for about a week now so was hoping it would help get things softened up in there

I usually go for prune and/or pear purée mixed with yoghurt or kiwi fruit and encourage lots of water drinking. The NHS does not advise against live yoghurt for babies, it only advises against unpasteurised cheese and honey in all forms. I try to avoid juice as I don’t want her to get a taste for sweet drinks and it wouldn’t be a once off as she has struggled a lot with constipation.

Yeah I won't try the juice again it was a last resort due to prunes not working, but I do have some more tips now thanks to this thread.
I also don't want her getting a taste for juice, she absolutely loves water so I'm happy to give her just that as long as possible
