Breastfeeding and thrush

My 10 month old has thrush and we are using a gel for treatment. Has anyone else been through t similar ? Did you end up getting it? is it inevitable that I get it? Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk? I’ve looked on NHS website and breastfeeding network but can’t seem to find anything.

I had it when baby was only a few weeks old. Although only I had symptoms, the GP treated us both because it does pass easily between you. It was a cream for me and a gel for baby. I believe you can buy both over the counter in the pharmacy.

Not something I would be keen to get again but the treatment did the trick and that was the end of it.
