In my country, parents start potty training their kids from a very young age. Also, when i trained my son, it took a long time (he was 15 weeks prem so i knew it would take longer anyway). I thought it would be a good idea to introduce my baby to a potty, just so she gets used to seeing it, etc so when the time came to train her, it might help a bit.
I put her on it while i was running her bath. she seemed happy to sit and play. The the next morning i put her on it and she weed and pooed!
Shes been doing it ever since! Just thought id share with you all.
Im not bothered what age she ends up in pants at all and im not one of those parents who worry about their childs development (i walked at 18 months while my twin walked at 10, and my son walked at 20 months). My dd took longer than average to sit, crawl etc but it didnt bother me at all.
Its worth a try just buying a potty when theyre young so when they ARE ready to train, they wont be scared of it or not used to seeing it etc.
