Holiday toys for 8 month old

any tips or recommendations for the best toys to take on holiday for an 8 month old? Obviously need to be selective due to packing limitations so just wondered if others have discovered any “must haves” that worked well for you?
baby doesn’t really seem to have any favourites, other than his bouncer which is a tad inconvenient to pack in a suitcase.

Either the Mushie stacking cups or the Moonkie stacking cups off Amazon.

The Mushie ones are hard plastic and the Moonkie ones are lovely soft silicone.

We loved these on holiday because they're multi-purpose. They nestle inside each other for transport (don't take up much room), can use inside and outside for stacking, making mini sandcastles, filling with water and watching how it flows out of the holes on the tops of the individual cups. Roll them around, put little snacks in them as fun bowls etc etc

Ahhh lovely idea! And thanks for the suggestions on other ways of playing with them. We’ve already got a set of hard plastic stacking cups so I’ll take those (unless I think I can get away with husband not noticing an entirely different silicone set arrive).

I also recommend stacking cups. Other than that we just took a favourite soft toy, a pram toy, a favourite book and some teethers. We were taking so much other crap there wasn't room for more toys.
