18 month old cries every time i put her down

My daughter will not sleep. Every time I put her down she cries. I've been up and down with her for 2.5 hours and I'm losing my patience now and scared I will snap at her.
I'm sleep deprived and don't know what to do. Every time I think she's asleep (after about 20/30 minutes of cuddles!) she screams when I put her to bed. This is unbearable

If this isn't normal, she might have been a bit unwell. Did you check her temperature? Also weather has just got a bit colder, check temperature in the room and how warm her bedding is?

If this is normal, have some sympathy.
