What’s this rash on my 8 month old’s face?

Attaching a picture. I posted a few days ago too sorry! Baby is teething and has gum pain etc, he’s eating less than usual and has gone off his formula completely (he’s mixed fed). He has a red rash on his cheeks, upper lip and his chin. We did go to the GP who was quite useless and just said it’s dry skin and it’ll get better by itself. He prescribed a cream of which is unavailable in every pharmacy and then we got him to change the prescription, he prescribed another ointment which is also unavailable. I’m so pissed off and don’t know what to do, DS is uncomfortable and he keeps itching his face. Could it be a teething rash or is it something else?

What has he eaten,it could be an allergy? I think I'd ring 111 and ask for advice. Can you give Piriton at 8 months?

He hasn’t eaten anything new these days tbh. 2 of his teeth came out 3 days ago and that’s when the rash got really bad, he had a bit before but that’s when it got worse. If we don’t find the ointment today then I’ll definitely call 111.

Just to let you know that allergies can happen at anytime even with something eaten before. Hope you find the cream and it sorts it out.
