Phones around newborns?

Hi all, I'm just wondering if people keep their mobile phones away from their newborns or don't bother? I read that babies skulls are thinner so radiation from phones can harm them. However I'm not sure if that's accurate or whether people use their phone whilst close to their babies etc

My LO is 16 weeks and I use my phone when holding him!

Don’t know much of anything about the risks you speak of, but I know how miserable my existence would have been if I didn’t have my phone on me in the early days. So much sitting and feeding, being nap trapped etc.

Unless there’s some strong evidence out there telling you not to do it, don’t let such things worry you.

It’s totally fine. There is no evidence of harm from mobile phones though you will likely find your baby is fascinated by them when they are a bit older - maybe this would be the case anyway whether you’re on your phone a lot or not. My 1 year old would much rather play with my phone than her toys.
