7 month old not sleeping during the day.

Hi
My baby boy is just 7 months.
He has never been a good day or night sleeper and it’s only getting worse.

His day sleeps are all over the place. Most days he will have 2x30 minute naps.
If he wakes close to 12/1pm then he won’t have another nap in the afternoon. Often resulting in a 5 or 6 hour wake window.

Bed time is 6pm

He is a mess, won’t eat tea, absolutely looses it when getting ready for bed, we skip baths as it’s just too much, it’s just pyjamas on and breastfeed to sleep.

Today has been very hard. He woke at 6 and all was going well, he went down for 1st nap at 8:30 ish and settled at 8:50 he then woke after 10 minutes at 9.

Next nap was a carrier , fell asleep at 12:20 and woke at 12:30.

That will be 20 minutes in a 12 hour period.

He will not go any earlier for the next nap or will he resettle.

Anyone have a baby like this?

Any ideas to help him get more sleep.

TIA

Will he fall asleep if out and about in his pushchair ?

Can you breastfeed him to sleep and then hold him for a contact nap? That's what I mostly do for mine when not being wheeled in pushchair or walked in carrier. Putting in the cot or pram inside guarantees a very short nap!

Same with mine until about 9 months except it was cuddle and dummy rather than breastfeeding.
