Know it is not on your list but a trip Trapp is a great highchair which lasts. They can also be picked up at a good price on Facebook market place

Im not so keen on that one as it doesn't look very comfortable ?

They are surprisingly comfortable (they take the weight of an adult). You can get cushions to go on it but to be honest they are a faff

I have the baby lo nosh and I just love it, super comfy,m. It lies almost flat so can be used really early on before they are even eating.

On a day to day basis it is really easy to clean, hasn't stained or anything even with Bolognese. I like to take a hose to it every few months in the garden for a deep clean but it drys super fat and is easy to assemble again. It still looks brand new.

Tripp Trapps are great, and very comfortable. I use ours now as a desk chair even

Get the tripp trapp, with 2 cushions so you can rotate in the wash.

Itsatoddlersworld · 04/07/2023 21:49

We’ve got the silver cross and I’ve always regretted not getting the Tripp trapp! When first weaning the tray was a bit too high, so his elbows were a bit low. He was always keen for food but it made the grabbing more difficult than it needed to be because he had to reach up. The plastic also tore in the corners. Whenever he sits in a Tripp trapp he looks so comfy and eats so well! It’s just a great size. Still got the silver cross though, he loves it now, associates it with food.

I have 3 children, for baby 1 and 2 I had one similar to the one you are looking at and it was a nightmare to clean, just so many nooks due to the padding, thing is they are eating in it not sleeping in it. We bought an ikea one for my 3rd child, honestly best one we had by a mile. You can jazz them up if you don't like the look of them (google ideas), plus you can buy an insert that can pad it out/make it more comfortable when they are little. Honestly they are great and so easy to clean, you can also remove the legs to transport them/store them easily too. They cost £15 and you can replace the tray for £3! Padded ones look nice but in reality don't work. I wish I hadn't wasted money on the first one we bought.

This. Save yourself some money OP and just get the ikea one with the inflatable insert.

Can't believe it's taken 9 posts for someone to mention the IKEA chair. Normally it's I. The first and every subsequent post!

I commented above about the babylo actually thinking about it more the tray is too high even now my 18 month old just about reaches it.

I would go for ikea one

AmyAW · 05/07/2023 09:11

We have the Silver Cross. Baby loves it - very comfy and easy to clean quickly. But if you're aiming for baby led weaning the tray is far too high - we have to pop a towel under our 6 month old so she can reach the food. If you have a petite baby it would be particularly difficult.

Aarghisitbedtimeyet · 05/07/2023 09:25

Honestly , go ikea first until they’re a bit bigger then a Tripp trap (or a cheaper similar one) from market place. We’ve got 3 kids and started off with a swanky expensive one with padding etc that the grand parents bought as a present. Took up loads of space, constantly tripped us up and difficult to clean. After the first child was given an ikea one- much easier to use and you can take the legs off to Chuck it in the car to visit grandparents etc. We now have a Tripp trapp that I use when I’m working when the kids are in bed as it’s really comfortable!

DataNotLore · 05/07/2023 09:26

Just go to ikea

Peanutbutteryday · 06/07/2023 20:40

I’m not a fan of our silvercross. It’s clunky and tricky to clean. Tray too high at six months. It does look comfy though which is important, but probably you could find a high chair that’s comfy and doesn’t have the above negatives. I echo pps basically.
