Hello all

Looking some comfort really that this isn't my life forever.
17 month old child who has always been a poor sleeper at night.
Tried everything, white noise, black out blinds, bedtime routine, capping naps, dropping naps, later bedtime, earlier bedtime , co sleeping ( she never took to this at all), in her own room, dietician referral in case she had a cows milk allergy ( she doesn't)
She goes through small stages of good sleep but always reverts back to her bad sleep.
She naps well and during the day is happy pleasant child. She has no development delays ( that we know of yet)
Is in full time nursery and does very well there naps well there no issues.
She is teething and has been off and on for the last year.

Last night she cried in her sleep pretty much half the night and woke up for the day at 4.30am. ended up taking her out in the pram to get her more sleep as no way she would last a full day in daycare without a bit more sleep.

My husband and I take turns doing the nights but the last week neither one of us have had any sleep. We both work full time.

So I'm not looking cures or for her sleep to be fixed I've accepted there ain't anything wrong with her really.

I guess I'm looking reassurance from other parents that this does pass and that I won't be stuck with a child who never sleeps well and that this is not a sign of something else perhaps?

Honestly I don't know what I'm actually after just a pat on the hand saying it will get better and soon.
