Acid reflux formula milk

Hi all. Not posting for advice at this point as I’m not sure what else we can do but rather to just get some reassurance that it’s not just us going through it?!

So our little boy is 9 weeks old. About 2 weeks ago he started getting acid reflux where he was then screaming in pain by the end of the week. The Drs advised to go anti-reflux milk (before we was on normal aptamil advanced milk). The first day or two on the milk was great, it kept the milk down and no more throw up & he seemed ok. We then had another awful 24 hours last weekend so called the OOH gp who prescribed him omeprezole. We weren’t told to come off the anti-reflux milk and we’re told ‘it should be fine’ to stay on the thicker milk. Long story short, since been on the reflux milk he has had less sick after bottles however he is now so gassy to the point where he is screaming in pain again, occasionally constipated but then has a massive blow out. The milk is so bubbly it’s no wonder we now have a gas issue! He’s been on the milk for 1 week on Friday and it’s progressively got worse in the week. We have asked the doctors opinion that should he go on the normal milk again now he’s on omeprazole & we’re told to give it a try to see if it improves things. The omeprazole is working it’s just the milk making things worse now and causing another issue (I think)?! So since starting on the old milk again yesterday, he’s easier to wind, less gassy and doesn’t seem so uncomfortable after feeds. The only issue is now he’s starting bring milk up again after bottles with the old milk. He’s been on the omeprazole for 6 days now ( I know it’s early but most people I know who have experience said it worked instantly)? So my question is, is it normal to have some throw up? I’m assuming my boy just can’t keep his milk down well at the minute and will grow out of it eventually. If he doesn’t appear to be in pain is it ok if he has some spit up? Is it normal to still have spit up even on the omeprazole and normal milk? It’s the weekend now but will be asking these questions to the gp on Monday. My head is spinning at the minute I just want him to be his usual happy and comfortable self again :(
