Getting wipes out of packet individually?

The brand of baby wipes I buy used to have a hard plastic square opening part that clipped shut, but they recently changed it to a peel off opening.

Since this change the wipes don't come out individually but in a clump. I could push them back in but they would then become soiled by my unclean fingers.

Does anyone know a foolproof way of getting the wipes out one by one with this new style of packaging please?

How dirty are your fingers!?!

But also - just use a flannel.

SOT3 · 01/07/2023 10:37

Well they aren't clean by the nature of the job I am doing at the time so I don't like the idea of pushing unclean wipes back in the packet.

I don't want to use a flannel.

Try putting a hair band around the pack. It seems to help them come out individually 👍

If you slip a hair bobble or elastic band vertically over the pack and position it next to the opening, it will let you pull out one at a time

That's a really useful tip;

Amazing, thank you both for that tip, I will do that.

Are they Tesco's? I swear about this daily 🤣

Sussexcricket · 01/07/2023 20:35

Tesco wipes get on my nerves

I'm sure it's so you have to buy more sooner 🤣

I swear it’s all these new plastic free wipes that do this, I now only use home bargains or Amazon ones for this reason. And yes I fully know ppl will think this is terrible using ones that contain plastic blah blah. But ffs there’s billionaires jet setting round the world n huge companies doing severe damage. I’m just a knackered mother trying to wipe arses !

CopperSeahorses · 01/07/2023 20:43

Asda's wipes have started doing exactly the same thing so I am going to try the hairband trick too, thank you.

I'm so glad you said this.
Years ago when they put plastic in them they were much easier to get out the pack.
I definitely will not be using a flannel instead! Shoot me now!

Hair bobble trick or I got some baby wipe holder bags off Amazon

Gives you that plastic cover and keeps them moist too!

The Tesco rascal and friends ones still have the plastic lid. And you can buy a bulk box too for better value. They're really good and even friends of mine have converted after using them!
