Third tummy bug while pregnant

22 wks pregnant. Caught every last sickness bug going from my toddler. I can't get over how many bugs i've caught this pregnancy why is my immune system so crap?! I wasn't sick once with my boy during lockdown and feels like i've been perpetually ill ever since one thing after another. Is it lockdown hangover or is this just life? I don't know anyone who has caught as many bugs while pregnant.

I'm also single parenting for 3 days. Family member travelling miles to stay overnight while partner is out of the country. I'm just so sad and fed up. And i feel like a crap mum.

Gosh that is bad luck, sorry you're suffering so much!

I'm 22 weeks and have a 2 year old, and although I've been lucky recently and not been ill, I did constantly have some bug or another in the first trimester. The worst was a stomach bug, one day of normality, followed by Covid.

Of course you're not a bad mum, it's so easy to pick up bugs from the little germ factories that are toddlers. It's not your fault. It's also so bloody hard solo parenting. My husband travels for work a lot so I know what it's like. I do feel guilty about asking grandparents who don't live locally but I do also think if they're willing to help then I'll take them up on it!

So take the help, and try to get some rest. Hopefully you'll have a healthy spell soon!! 💐
