What is my baby doing?!

My 3 month old has always been a pretty good sleeper, in the early days she would wake up once in the night for a feed, then she went to sleeping through until 5am but recently her sleep has become more disturbed.
She's going down ok initially but then waking up about 30 mins later, I put her dummy in and soothe her and she will go back off again. Then throughout the night numerous times she will be rolling around her crib, pushing her face into the mattress, kicking her legs out. I put her dummy in and she goes off pretty much straight away and the cycle continues.
Last night I had to put her in the bed with us cos she was really struggling to sleep in her crib. She didn't need a dummy when she was in with us but she was still having moments when she would push her face into the mattress. I kept trying to put her onto her back but she was insistent on sleeping on her side!
In the daytime when she's lay on her back, she rolls onto her side and pushes her face into the floor, the same thing she does in bed at night.

Is this a developmental thing? Has anyone else experienced this? Please tell me it will pass and she will sleep peacefully again!!

Sleep regression?
Can happen anywhere better 3 & 5 months.

My baby has been a side/front sleeper since she could roll ... it's terrifying at first, but I just made her cot as safe as possible (no blankets, layer up clothing instead - no toys/teddy's etc)
There is less concern with rolling in their sleep if they can roll back & forth. But I found it terrifying.

*happen anywhere between

I was wondering if she was trying to roll but thought it was too soon. I know she's due to go through 'leap 4' soon but I'm taking those with a pinch of salt as every time she's supposed to be "fussy" she's been fine!

The good part is, everything is just a phase right now & it will pass, but then something new pops up 😩😂
When my baby went through her first sleep regression, she'd settle wonderfully, but soon became fussy & super active, then there was a few nights where the only place she'd sleep was physically on me.
Afterwards she was sleeping 10hrs straight, every step backward is a big leap forward.
