Hi, I’m just looking for any experiences or opinions of Magna-tiles and Magformers? Is one brand better than the other? Have your kids enjoyed them? What size pack
would you recommend?

I’m thinking of getting my toddler some but there seems to be a lot of choice and they’re quite expensive!

Think ours are Children Hub - we've got two sets so probably about 100 pieces in total. I don't think there's loads of difference between the brands tbh.

Hands down one of the best toys we own, highly recommend.

We have Magnatiles. They’ve consistently been my 3 year olds most played with toy since she got them at Christmas.

We’ve got one large ish pack, but we’ll certainly be adding more.

Definitely go for brand name rather than cheaper version .
DD got them for Christmas last year age 4 and it’s absolutely brilliant for imagination and fine motor skills . She plays with them at least a couple of times a week as does older dd!
we only got the starter pack so will be adding to it this summer

Thank you for your replies. Glad to hear they’ve been worth it! I’m going to get her some Magnatiles.

My DS used to absolutely love these.

We have Magnatiles and cheaper brands and there's no real difference. I couldn't pick the expensive ones out now they're all mixed together, Personally I would go for a bigger pack of non-brand ones for the money. One of DD's favourite things!

Also well-loved here. DD1 is in fact getting the ball run pack for her 4th birthday in a few days. We have connetix – reviews suggested that the name-brand ones usually have stronger magnets so you can build bigger/more complicated things, plus I wanted the extra safety of the riveted corners to make sure no magnets came out to protect DD2, who was only a baby when DD1 first got them.

We have magformers. Ds is 3 and has around 4 sets worth now. He loves them. I’m planning on packing them for our upcoming holiday as they are lightweight and provide daily entertainment, whilst not being loss of small pieces to loose.

We have had half of them about 6 years as bought some pre own child for holiday apartment rental. All the pieces now look the same still so the older ones haven’t faded of broken.
