So on Monday night I messaged my sister and asked if she could pick my son up from nursery the following day as I wouldn’t be able to make it (something came up with work.)
I told her I’d be home by 8/9 and if she could please pick him up.
She responded by saying ‘I’d rather have a weeks notice as it’s stressing me out having such short notice.’ But she also said ‘I’ll pick him up tho.’
So I thought cool. I didn’t hear back from her so messaged her again yesterday at 5pm to double check she was able to make it. She then said ‘I’m taking the piss’ and started calling my phone. I text her that I couldn’t talk right now as I was in a meeting, to which she responded ‘You’re sons name is more important just leave.’
She did go pick him up by the way and was on time. When I got home she told me I need to be more organised.
Then today she called me and said I just wanted to thank you for letting me spend time with (sons name) and talked about how much she enjoyed being with him.
I feel a little confused tbh. I’ve never asked her to pick him up before, and I appreciate it was short notice but she agreed to do it so why would she act this way? And then completely change her attitude by calling me today?
