Bed time routine

How do you manage bedtime with several children. We have a 1.5yr old, 4 and 6 Yr olds. It's increasingly difficult, we spend most evenings going between rooms to stop shouting out, playing or disturbing the others. The 4 and 6 year old share a room, we did this because otherwise we were also just going between their rooms whilst they alternated shouting out constantly.
Its not always like this, they used to go to sleep well after their routine, but now they want to play or just shout put waking each other or the 1.5yr old.
Send Wine and a sleep machine..!? 😴

I didn't want to read and run but don't have any practical experience (my DC are (almost) 4 and my newborn is 5 weeks).

If the main issue is that they're up and playing and in turn waking the others, I would make sure they've got enough wind-down time before bed, if they don't already. Quiet, calming activities like reading and colouring might help. Implementing a reward system might also be an incentive to stay in bed?

Like I said, I have no practical experience so that may or may not be of any use 🙃😅
