Just out of curiosity - how often do your parents (grandparents) see your children and in what capacity/duration?

In laws we see for about two hours maybe once a month. They only live 15 mins away but we never seem to find much time.

My side is just my mum now and we live with her so everyday!

DS is nearly 2 and has 3 sets of grandparents.

1 set look after him for a day once a week, he also sees them probably once a week other than this as well for social visit etc as they live very near.
1 live a couple of miles away and he sees them probably once ever 2 or 3 weeks socially. They used to look after him once a week but had to stop due to I'll health.
The final set live over 2 hours away and he sees them probably once every 6 months. Much less of a relationship with them.

I appreciate we are extremely lucky to have 2 sets living close by and very involved.

We live very close to my parents and see them 3-4 times a week, for a couple of hours.

My inlaws live an hour and a half away (and won't travel very far from their home because they don't want their dog to be lonely, so have visited us once, ever 🙄), so we see them every few months. We go for the day, or maybe stay overnight.

Mine are older now but PIL live an hour away and we saw them every couple of months for the day.
My DM lived fifteen minutes away and we could go five or six weeks without seeing her.
Ad hoc babysitting, maybe once a month (when DC were in bed) and a handful of times in school holidays (when we were working). Never any sleepovers ever. Never took them 'just because'.

When my parents were alive and in the country at least every week (Sunday lunch). My in laws (25 minutes away) only when we suggested it, so once every couple months.

in laws, because they live at a distance, we see for a couple of days every couple of months.

Live about 5 minutes from my parents, see them once a week usually. ILs live about one hour away, see them 4 times a year probably. They, and my husband, are a bit rubbish at organising getting together.
