Teenager acting out at school

Hi. My son is 14 and I am getting calls every week about his behaviour in school. The issues vary but tend to be late to class, refusing to do the work, refusing to wear his tie, disruptive in class by talking and being silly, leaving class and wandering round the corridors. At home he behaves really well so I find it really frustrating that he acts this way in school. The consequences at home include keeping him indoors and taking his phone off him but I am really struggling with the constant phone calls and no change to his behaviour. He doesn’t talk too much but has said that he is trying to be better in school. I’m worried it’s gone too far and the consequences aren’t having an impact. Has anyone any experience or advice to help me out?
