Constant rash around babies mouth

Hi there,

my son who is now 11 months old started to get a rash around his mouth about 5 months old, it would come and go and was kept under control by a weak steroid cream from the doctors. However for the past 3 months it’s been constant no cream has even remotely made it any better. It doesn’t seem to bother him but it must hurt as it is so red and sore. Images attached to see what I mean! I’ve had him allergy tested privately and all came back clear. Don’t know what else I can do!

Does he dribble a lot? Babies often get sore from the skin constantly being damp + frequent wiping.

Dribble rash? First molars could be coming in at 11 months and that can mean so much dribble! Does he wear a dribble bib and are you changing it when it gets damp? Wiping his face regularly?

Hi, my son has had a rash very similar around his mouth for getting on for 4 months now. He's 18 months in a couple weeks. Did you ever find out what had caused the rash and have you managed to find treatment for it? Any info/ advice would be so appreciated as finding it so frustrating when even the doctors don't seem to help. Thank you!
