Colic or reflux

Hi Everyone,

My DC2 is currently nearly 4 weeks. For the last week his crying seems to be getting worse. Very hard to settle him he seems so in comfortable.

He's gaining weight fine, plenty of dirty and wet nappies.

  • sometimes pulls away while feeding arching his back
  • he seems to get a slight relief after passing wind but still seems unsettled.
  • doesn't like being on his back, starts making sounds of discomfort then usually passes some wind but can tell he's finding it difficult.
  • although he does burp, it's usually very hard to get something or on some occasions I can't get anything at all

During the nighttime he's constantly making noises and is pulling his legs up to his belly.

Does this sound like colic? And is it worth going to GP to get a diagnosis?

My first DC never had this so I'm not too sure.

I should say in the beginning we tried infacol at first I thought it was working then it didn't seem to be doing much. And it seemed to be giving him loose stools. Im formula feeding.

If I were you I would try Infacol. It treats colic and is very good.
