What time does your 9yo go to bed?

DS is in bed for 9 but doesn't go to sleep until almost 10. Probably the heat not helping. He's up around 7ish. Is this in the realms of normal?

Mine gets in bed at 8 and I read with him for 30 minutes, then he is allowed his light on until 9 when he listens to music quietly or reads a book. Light off at 9- Alexa goes off at 9:30 (because he listens to audio books to sleep some times)

Oh also mine often doesn’t finally fall asleep until 10 or later, but when we trialled a later bedtime he went to sleep Even later. Think his brain just needs more wind down time before sleep sometimes

Mine is nearly 10 but for a while has lights out at 9 during the week and is asleep quickly. He’s not a particularly early riser, waking between 7 and 8.

8 yo otoh can’t sleep until at least 10 most nights.

They are obviously all so different - I've got a 14yo DS as well but I can't for the life of me remember when he used to go to bed at this age. I'm pretty sure it was before 9 though!
