Playpen? Bouncer? Swing chair thing (can’t think what they’re called)?

I used to put my baby in front of a mirror and it entertained her long enough to hang up/put away washing/wash my hair and other quickish jobs.

In my experience 6 months don’t need that much entertainment and just a few toys within reach would be enough for say 20 mins.

Can you baby wear?

In bouncer chair or a jumperoo in front of washing machine, television (time to cave into Cocomelon and Mr Tumble) or just watching me used to work for a bit for me. But it’s a hard age as they get bored and overstimulated easily!
If they don’t already nap in the cot at home, then now is the time to persevere and make that happen so you get a couple hours back in the day.

Not crawling yet I assume… take them with you to whatever room you’re in, lay them on a mat with some sensory toys, and talk them through everything you’re doing. They find their mothers fascinating even when they’re talking about laundry!

A bouncer, jumperoo, or just a play mat with a few toys.

Not much to it at 6mo! My baby always preferred random household items to toys so could try that. The whisk and a wooden spoon always a hit.

Another vote for popping baby in a bouncy chair and let them watch you while you chat away to them!

Mine just loves watching me - we bought a newborn appropriate high chair and she sits in there and happily watches us do all the boring chores.
I'd imagine at 6 months yours can probably sit in a more supportive high chair whilst you get some bits done near by.

Will equally play on a mat on the floor just exploring her body and watching our feet as we bustle about.
