Toilet training 2.5yo with a poo aversion

DD is 2.5 and in many ways ready to potty train. She knows when she is doing a poo, and possibly when she needs one, and can produce a wee on the toilet / potty. However, she's very squeamish about poo. She's curious about it and often asks to see her baby brother's nappies or look at poo in the toilet, but often physically gags while doing this. This has become especially bad after a poo-in-the-bath incident which she found very traumatic.

When I'm changing her nappies I make a point of being blase about it and never commenting on smell etc. If she does react then I just say how it's normal and healthy to poo, we feel ill if we don't poo etc. Her language and understanding is really good, maybe a bit too good in some way as she can be a bit prone to anxiety. I'm a bit worried however that this is going to really get in the way of her potty training and it could be quite traumatic for her. Any advice?

Hi you could try Pooland, links below
I’ve used these with older children but if she’s bright they might help
You could make your own simplified version

Some other ideas
Comfy padded toilet training seat
Bubbles to blow ( helps with constipation/ retention)
Fragrance either in the room or poopourri spray in the bowl
Paper in the bowl to avoid a splashed bottom
A washable toy or book to hold or even a fragranced item

Good luck
