10 month old sudden early waking (5am)

My daughter is a few days away from being 10 months old, and throughout her whole life so far she’s just an amazing sleeper. She loves her sleep. Sleeps minimum 12 hours a night. We’ve had 1 spout of some sort of regression when she was about 5 month which lasted a month but then went straight back to sleeping minimum 12 hours a night again.

Shes currently on a 2 nap routine which works well for her as her awake windows are currently about 3 hours long.

All of a sudden though she’s started waking up at 5am on the dot everyday, no matter what time she goes to bed she’ll be awake at 5am. She doesn’t cry, doesn’t call out, just lays awake, has abit of a roll around, looks at the pictures on her walls etc, but is still awake. If I get her up, she barely stays awake 1.5/2 hours and I’ll have to put her back down again and she’ll sleep another 2 hours or so if I let her!!

I just don’t know what’s happened to cause the early wakings? I wasn’t sure if this was common or if it sounds like she needs a routine change, I didn’t want to do anything yet without advice incase I make it worse..
her room is dark with black out blinds, it’s cool, it’s got her hatch machine on with the beloved white noise, she loves her room & being in there. We’re quite in the mornings to not wake her up. Just not sure what’s changed as it feels very sudden, and she’s struggling each day with tiredness now, constantly yawning. Not as full of energy.

She’s not hungry either, we’ve tried a couple time feeding her seeing if it’s that but it’s not. She currently has 3 meals a day plus about 4 bottles.

Any advice is welcome! I appreciate your time!

I think it’s the heat and the lighter mornings. Both mine (5 yr old/3 month old) doing very similar with waking early.

I did think this, wasn’t sure if I was just being silly. Thank you! Bless them x

It's the lighter mornings op. We are affected by the seasons just like lots of other species. There's not much you can do but go to bed earlier yourself to make sure you get the sleep you need. I'm not a morning person in the winter I have to drag myself out of bed but this past two weeks I've been awake at 5ish and up putting washing out by 6.30am but then I could nap in the day.

Yes it's just the light and heat. If she's happy in her cot just leave her until you're ready to get up because otherwise you'll get to the end of summer and have a baby that thinks 5am is go time!

Yeah! This is it you see; I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant myself & am so so tired so these early mornings are taking it’s toll on both her and I now! Hahaha.. bless her she’s yawning away again this morning… thank you all for the advice!!
