Gift ideas for 7 year old girl

biscuitsndtea · 18/06/2023 13:33

My DD ( 7) has been invited to multiple birthday parties of her friends in the upcoming weeks. Not sure what they like actually. I find it difficult everytime to choose a gift.

Any gift suggestions for 7 year old girls please? Budget 10 to 20 pounds per gift.
Happy to go for 2 for 20 or 2 for 30 deals.
Thanks :)

This is one of my go to sites for quirky and unusual gifts.
They have a clearance section and gifts for children.
Seems like a decent budget but I’m out of date with party presents.
Just an example, have a browse!

Depends what they like. Is there no list? I always ask.

If not, some generic things that you could get:

Polly pocket
Lego friends
Playmobil
All manner of craft stuff e.g. cross stitch, bracelets, stone painting... there's a massive variety of small craft kits for £10ish.

But i would definitely ask the parent if there is a list. I dread the amount of random stuff DD gets given for her birthday because we have to find somewhere to put it all.... nightmare when you invite the whole class for a party.

Lego friends is always a winner.

Squishmallows

Yes to squishmallows! Or funky/cute stationery - sounds boring but we've done a few presents of a fluffy locking animal notebook, sparkly pens and funny rubbers, and it always goes down really well.

I tend to get craft sets for dd's friends. There's been cross stitch, bracelet making, sequins etc

SUNGEMMERS Suncatcher Diamond Art Painting Craft Kits for Kids Age 6-12, Cool Spring Arts and Crafts for Kids Age 7 8 9 10 - Creative Birthday Presents for 7 Year Old Girls, & Travel Gift for Kids amzn.eu/d/5KNF0eD

I would only get toys if I had a reasonable idea what they already had and how much space they had.

I love this site for gifts for kids, there are loads of ideas on here and can filter by age.

£20 is high budget for friends birthday parties, generally the gifts DD has received and given at these things is in the £5-£10 range. I have a cupboard where I stash spares from BOGOF and 2for offers.

Stuff they seem to like

  • Real Little Backpack/shoes/mini craft
  • Anything in a plastic ball with sections filled with more plastic bags filled with tiny bits of plastic crap
  • any hair stuff/jewellery sets that are furry/rainbow/neon/unicorn
  • craft sets - more specifically the ones that make a mess - tie dye, slime etc

Glittery pen set
Stickers
lip balms
If your DD knows their favorite characters, could be poster calendars with pictures of them
Birthday collages instead of store bought cards
Squishmallows
huge YES to Lego friends too!
