Anger!!

I don't know if it's just me but since my daughter was born it pisses me off so much when other people are holding my baby. I was the worst when she was newborn but she's 6 months old now and it still really annoys me (not as much) I don't know why and don't know how to stop feeling like this. Anyone else that was like it?

I went through a phase where I would worry so much how baby was being held..
maybe pp hormones playing up or just a complete fear OR that detachment from a baby you’ve held in your body safely for 9 months is now being held by people you don’t want her held by?

What angers you about it?

Did you get over the feeling eventually?

@nubby26 i feel calmer with some people but not others.
I think it’s a trust thing for me too.

@medicallycomplicated I really don't know I just get a sudden rage of anger. I have no reason for why I feel angry I just do. As the person said above I think it's because I've carried her for 9 months and when other people other than me isn't holding her it just makes me angry.

nubby26 · 18/06/2023 12:15

@existingusername yes my first. I'm currently pregnant aswell so maybe it's just hormones?

can you get some support ie talking therapy or anything?

nubby26 · 18/06/2023 12:17

@Maloneyb hopefully it stops soon, I'm fine with some but not others aswell I think we just want to protect and look after our babies :)

@Maloneyb I think I'm going to look into it and try see if I can get some help for it. I'm pregnant again and would obviously need some support as I'm gonna have 2 under 2 so will need to get over other people helping and holding baby. Thankyou for replying x
