Son followed by students from other school

My son was followed by 7 students from another school. They were verbally abusive to him. Two kids were from his primary school. They also filmed him but didn’t find anything on their phones. . He didn’t know the others. Turned out one of the kids told the other kids false information and they acted on it.

i reported it to the police and to their school.

The next day I went to pick him up as he was too scared to walk home on his own and they were there. I spoke to them as I knew who the two kids from his previous school were and then I took a photo that I sent to the school and the police.

I am now in trouble as I spoke to them and took a photo. Before I took the photo the call handler had said to me it was going to be difficult because we didn’t have surnames of the kids involved. So I took evidence. My argument is that they did worse than me and actually flanked him so he couldn’t escape. They also crossed the road to follow him. I was on the same side of the road as him and wouldn’t have been
there If it wasn’t for their actions and if the schools sanctions had been adeqaute they wouldn’t have been there either.

Two different academies involved, kids are 13/ 14 years old.

As far as I am concerned the other school/parents are flipping the script to protect the school and these kids.

AnY advicE? Im trying to press charges against them.

How can you be in trouble for speaking to kids and taking their photo in a public place as evidence of a potential crime?

The parents told the school they are worried that I followed them and recorded them. The school also said to me I shouldn’t have spoken to them as I am an adult. It’s all to do with an adult doing this to children but apparently it’s ok for kids to to it to other kids.

Get legal advice. You have names now so you should be able to take legal action against individual parents, contact social services etc. I did all of that when DD was bullied on her walk home and put the fear of god into the bully’s parents
